Experiencing crystal clear Minnesota lake ice has taught me that the “top down” freeze is the answer to make clear ice.
Asking folks to insulate the sides and base of nICE mug molds before freezing requires too much engagement for some users. I realized that an easier method was required.
With help from Green Bay Packaging, we were able to develop a custom box for nICE mugs that insulate the sides and base of the mold, ensuring crystal clear nICE mugs every time. Matt from Green Bay Packaging took on my challenge with right brain enthusiasm. He had a previous client with a similar yet hugely different need. The client needed a special box to ship live crickets to garden centers. Crickets can seek out and escape from the smallest gaps, so this client needed a super tight box. With nICE mug boxes, we needed the same thing.
